CNC Machinist II
Operate and Program Haas mills and lathes per work order instructions Install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, etc.
Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers
Ability to interpret dimensions and tolerances
Edits programming as needed
Understand calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
Ability to accurately use and interpret measuring equipment maintain specifications by observation and measuring equipment Consistent output of accurate parts.
Ensure work area is clean and safe
Ability to work some overtime, as needed, preferred.

Review overall operations efficiencies and recommend improvements
Assist with the overall production of machined, assembled, and anodized parts within established standards and safety requirements.
Schedule production of parts through responsible departments.
Potentially supervise and instruct and train employees in the proper use of production equipment and tooling.
Ensure processes are in place for proper machine set-up
Inventory control of raw materials

Great attendance and punctuality Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED. Experience: 5 years in machine shop setting up and running CNC lathes.
Knowledge: Common knowledge of some mechanics, use of specific tools and gages with ability to read and follow instructions. HS math, read, write and understand English. Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail, Judgment, and safety compliant.
Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Dexterity with hands and arms. Bending, twisting to move parts from one place to another. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to work under tight time constraints. Working Conditions: General machine shop conditions. Moderate noise of machinery.
Equipment/Tools Used: Wrenches, mallets, screwdrivers, deburring wheels and Dremel, micrometers, calipers, other measuring tools and gages.
